Midtopia is a contributive partnership that establishes sustainable and equitable opportunities for independent artists and music workers via an alternative “do it ourselves" model. First conceptualized in early 2022 by Wichita, Kansas-based independent music advocates and entrepreneurs Adam and Jessie Hartke (Hartke Presents / Wave / The Cotillion / D Tour / MEADOW), Midtopia seeks to proliferate a more informed and empowered music community built through and sustained by contributive partnerships and collaborative endeavors. Midtopia offers educational opportunities to help develop new business models for artists and workers, as well as shared access to key physical resources like a recording studio and rehearsal space.
