Where The Music Lives
Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the Organization:
The Surf Ballroom & Museum is a celebrated National Historic Landmark with a rich legacy in American music history. It is famously known as the venue for the final concert of rock and roll icons Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson before their tragic plane crash in 1959. Recognized as a rock and roll landmark by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Surf Ballroom hosts a wide array of live music performances and community events throughout the year in Clear Lake, Iowa.

The building will also be the location of North Iowa’s first ever immersive musical museum. Currently under construction, the MEIC and improved streetscapes are set to open in June 2025.
